The grand finale of AIUB World Cup 2026 delivered an unforgettable football spectacle, bringing the tournament to a thrilling close. In a fiercely contested showdown, Spain (FBA) emerged as champions, defeating Brazil (FBA) 4-2 in a dramatic tiebreaker to lift the coveted title.

The spirit of fair play was equally celebrated, with Argentina (FASS) receiving the Fair Play Award for their outstanding sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Adding another memorable chapter to the day, a special Women’s Match saw Brazil overcome Spain 6-1 in an exciting encounter.

As the evening set in, the AIUB campus came alive with celebration during the Grand Prize-Giving Ceremony. The ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor, AIUB, in the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor, AIUB. The program was hosted by Mr. Md. Joynal Abedin, Coordinator, Office of Sports, AIUB.

The tournament, organized by the Office of Sports, AIUB, with the support of the Office of Student Affairs, brought together teams, supporters, and the wider AIUB community in a celebration of football, competition, and sporting excellence.
